Reading the Signs in Joshua Tree, February 22-27, 2010 <Printable Logistics Letter> 
We are so pleased that you are interested in joining The Four Winds Society in our Master’s Course, Reading the Signs of Destiny. This course will be held February 22-27, 2010 in Joshua Tree, California. The class will be taught by Senior Staff Lynn Berryhill.
This is a required class for the Healing the Light Body Curriculum, the Medicine Wheel Curriculum and can be used as a requirement for the Way of the Sage Program.
Divination is the art of recognizing and aligning oneself with the signs of destiny. You will learn to read the signs provided to us by nature, randomness, and chance events. Shamanic seeing is the learned ability to perceive the luminous world of energy and spirit. You will discover ancient tools to awaken the shaman’s way of seeing. You will learn to sense the energy vortexes, or chakras, as well as develop the skills and tools for tracking and divination. During this week you will open the doors of perception to discover the luminous world of energy and spirit that surrounds us, and awaken the dormant seer within.
Location: This session will be at the Joshua Tree Spiritual Retreat Center in Joshua Tree, California. This beautiful location high in the desert will offer us the privacy and peaceful atmosphere for learning and healing. Joshua Tree is 30 miles north and 3,000 feet higher than Palm Springs, and 20 degrees cooler! We will have spacious rooms to work in, surrounded by windows and sweeping desert vistas.
There will be a large salad bar and lots of vegetarian choices. All bedding, linens and towels are supplied. If you have specific dietary needs or physical limitations that need to be considered please let them know so they can accommodate those needs as much as possible.

If a single is necessary, then you will need to contact a local hotel. Joshua Tree Retreat can supply you with a list of local hotels. Camping at Joshua Tree Retreat Center is not available at this time. Joshua Tree National Park is close by for campers. When you register for the program, you must also register with the venue, even if you are staying off-site. A walk-on fee applies and meals are also available for those staying off-site.
Program Registration: Please fill out the enclosed registration form and application; include your $300 deposit. The individual session cost is $1,450 (including the deposit). Class begins the first day of the session at 3 pm. Registration begins at 1 pm. The session ends at 12 noon of the last day.
What to Bring: Come prepared to do evening fire ceremony and outdoor explorations.
Plan accordingly to the season and the site location. You may need to bring a coat or jacket, boots, raingear, a flashlight, etc. Wear comfortable clothes, as much of the work is done on the floor. Chairs are available for those who need them.
