In the Quechua language, Choquequirao means the “cradle of gold.” This is an extraordinarily beautiful and challenging trek that takes us along a pre-Columbian trail, through lush vegetation, and down 6,000 feet to the glacier fed Apurimac River, where we view eagles and condors along the way. This is a rigorous six day hike along the Inka trails. Be among the few explorers to visit this extraordinary archeological site. Advanced students or graduates only.
