The Four Winds Newsletter - December 2008

Munay–Ki means “I love you” or “be as thou art.”

The prophecies of the ancient Americas speak about a new human appearing on the planet in or around the year 2012. The Munay-Ki are the codes that will allow this new human to come into being. They are the energetic essence of the nine great rites of initiation passed down by the Inka medicine men and women known as the Laika. The nine rites heal the wounds of our past, that is, our karmic and genetic inheritance. Undergoing them will help us to step into the fullness of our nature by transforming our human energy field and reinforming our DNA.

Traditionally, the Q’ero and Four Winds teachers have transmitted the rites of shamanic initiation during Peruvian journeys or in Medicine Wheel and Light Body trainings. With 2012 imminent, the Q’ero and Dr. Alberto Villoldo want to ensure that the nine rites are disseminated as quickly as possible, especially the ninth rite, also known as the Creator Rite. They believe that the nine rites of the Munay-Ki will assist us at this time of great transition—a shift that is already underway—as we evolve into homo luminous, beings of light. As more people participate in these ancient, sacred rites, the consciousness of the planet will be raised quickly. Receiving these rites and the power they bestow is possible for all, whether or not they follow a traditional shamanic path.

The Creator Rite awakens our God nature within by connecting us to our Buddha or Christ consciousness. As with all of the Munay-Ki rites, the Creator Rite is given in seed form, and the recipient continues to grow the seeds with ceremony and devotion. When an individual does personal healing work, it creates a deeper vessel for the seed to take root in. The recipient becomes a steward for all living things. For these reasons, the Creator Rite is very powerful, moving us to dream mythically and to become beauty.

You can visit the web site www.munay-ki.org to find someone in your area who can transmit all nine rites. Better yet, come to the Munay-Ki class with the Q’ero at Joshua Tree, California, in February or at Shambala Retreat Center in Colorado in September and receive the rites directly from these medicine men and women. Because the rites are given in seed format and need deep, fertile soil in which to grow, we strongly recommend you combine the rites with stepping into your own personal healing journey. The ability to have the seeds take hold and grow the rites is deepened as you learn the wisdom teachings and tools taught in the Light Body School, which help to clear your Luminous Energy Field.

This spring, we at Four Winds are thrilled to relaunch the Munay-Ki program and website to ensure that this global raising of consciousness continues and to discover how consciousness has expressed itself in countless acts of service on behalf of the One Earth.   Watch for the exciting changes to come in 2009!

In deep munay,
